100 things I want in a man.

Met up with a friend some time back, and she told me that there was one episode in Oprah where this lady came on the show and said that she was so confused about every guy she dated, and she couldn't decide. So one day, she sat down, and came up with a list of 100 things she wanted in a man, her dream man. And when she started dating again, she realized that the man she was dating had 99 things out of that 100 on her list, and I think that is something pretty amazing, for anyone to find something so close on the dating scene.

So I decided that I had to do something about my life, even though I have not dated in a looong time, it's about time I came up with a list so I would at least know what to look for in a man, so here goes...

1. Want a man who will keep to his word, i.e. when he says he will call back, he does, as opposed to conveniently forgetting to call, too busy, etc.
2. A man who does not try to make excuses for his mistakes, instead admits it like a man.
3. Someone loyal
4. Someone who loves me, more like crazy about me :)
5. Someone trustworthy
6. Someone kind
7. Someone reliable
8. Someone intelligent, not like rocket scientist intelligent, but intelligent enough so I could have a decent conversation with him, at ease.
9. Someone who speaks good English- non-negotiable.
10. Someone caring
11. Someone ambitious, but knows how to balance having a good time, and working
12. Someone who keeps me planted to the ground, because heaven knows, I drift away ever so easily :P
13. Someone optimistic - well someone has to fill in for kanesa, lol.
14. Someone with a sense of humour
15. Someone chivalrous, gentleman like
16. Someone not so gentleman like in bed, hahaha
17. Someone who is patient - EXTREMELY IMPORTANT
18. Someone who does not make hasty decisions.
19. Someone who gets along well with my family
20. Someone who is willing to take care of my parents when they get old.

30. Someone who is able to support me plus any future family financially & emotionally
31. Someone who is able to have children
32. Someone who is good with children and likes them

34. Someone who is catholic, if not, someone who is not a religious fanatic.
35. Someone who is able to accept my religion and who I am, and will not want me to change.
36. Someone who is willing to let me raise any children we have the catholic way, or at least my way, cz i strongly believe that what goes around, comes around and that's basically my guideline for religion.
    
37. Someone who will accept me for who I am and not expect me to change before/after marriage
38. Someone who has good principles

Being single

Am currently reading this book about how being single is fabulous and all, the book is great so far, and one of the suggestions was to keep a list of things you wanna do when you are free so you don't allow loneliness get to you... so here's my list:

• I wanna go out more often, and by out, I mean places that I've always wanted to go, but usually too lazy to move my arse for, eg: gardens, debenhams,
• Must go watch a movie all by myself, this is a lil scary for me...
• Take a drive up to some place, and rate men who pass by, lol
• Learn French!
• Go out with someone you lost touch with
• Pamper myself by going for massages, spa, etc.
• Volunteer at a home, hospital, etc.
• Blog!
• Travel more - this was always the priority on the list btw, just that I always have insufficient funds, hehe
• Take long walks - this I always do, helps clear my head!
• Take myself to a full blown dinner - and wink at the cute guy at the next table, provided there is one, lol.
  

Well, I guess that's all I can think of for now, perhaps when I think of other things to do, I'll add it this list...

First Day Blues

For some reason, I don't really feel like teaching tomorrow.

Still not feeling well, and I've been pretty sick these past few days…

Guess I have to get used to it, the sooner, the better.

Is it true?

Is it true that you don't have a life, when your life revolves around work?

I'm constantly working these days. The weekends are spent sleeping in, and to catch up on the rest I need to get ahead for the coming week. I have made my decision, and decisions, like everything else, requires sacrifice.

Of late, I realize that I don't have much time to spend with my friends, and family. What's more troubling is the thought of my soul mate going to a far away place for a long, long time. I know it is my duty and my priority to make her my number one right now, but I can't.

I'v made my decision. And making a decision means sticking through it. And that is exactly what I will do. I will however spend as much time as I possibly can with her, because only the good Lord knows how much I'm about to miss her.

Life can be challenging, but it is how you cope with it that makes you different.

And this is what I choose to beleive right now.

When is enough ever enough?

I was just starting to do my assignments today, and I suddenly stopped to think, when is enough ever going to be enough?

I know for a fact, that after this April I don't wanna see another textbook, or do an assignment in the next 5 years or so, at least...

I know that I wanna get a better job, and earn more money, and go for all those vacations I've been dreaming about...

I know that I wanna lose weight, and when I reach a certain goal, I'm going to get a tatoo that I've always wanted...

I know I wanna push myself further and see what I can really achieve in this one lifetime, but sometimes, I feel like I just don't know when enough is enough. Is the world such that it commands that there should never be enough, or should I just lose the kiasu side of me, and stop myself when enough is enough. Problem is, I keep thinking about more stuff than I should at a particular time, sometimes it's good, but sometimes, it just gets you down.

What I really need to do for myself is:



Stop thinking about the future that's far ahead of you, and just concentrate on NOW.

NOW.

Happiness comes in many forms

I walked into class today, and when I reached my table, there it was...

Starbucks coffee just waiting for me on the table, hot and nice. Naturally, I thought it was my students coffee and just asked them whose it was, then they did the nicest thing...

They told me it was for me! I was so touched, hehe...

So when I went home, I set my mood as happy on facebook, I was cuddling my pet Hubble when Bradshaw found me on msn, and I realized, that she adopted a Kitty... and the rest of the conversation is here...
